Cherylin Z. Martin-Wade, (Ojibwe)
Cherylin is began editing and publishing Tribal Fires Journal in 1995. 

She is a published poet with works that have been presented in the Minnesota Poets publication, Jack pine Journal, and Winds of Change magazine.



 
As editor of the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe's Debahjimon (1998 - 2003), she increased the readership and decreased the cost of production by 100k and improved the newspaper by addressing issues of diabetes, cultural preservation, and gave an equal voice to political campaigns.

Currently, she is a senior at Bemidji State University with majors in Mass Communication and her main passion a degree in Fine Arts.
