Cypress Tree in the City Park

Looking at her toes mend
i awe to the ignorance of society
what is it?
that causes one to cut another's roots...

disrespect for one's foundation,
obstructions to "their" progress,

teachings,
teachings which neglect the relevance
that creations entities are equal to man.

eventually she will die, her ways will die...
they call it cleansing of the souls...

Memories

one missing tooth
when he smiles
and I smile

his glasses
held together
with duct tape
and I laugh

his two braids
across his chest
are so bushy

and I am cracking up
tears run down my cheek
my stomach hurts

he made me frybread
and I fell in love
